MES
Rise Above, Shine Bright: SAT Preparedness at MES
Why MES - SAT( AP )
The MES SAT section represents a cornerstone of academic preparation within the MES School community. With a focused emphasis on standardized testing, particularly the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT), this section plays a vital role in equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their college admissions journey.

- Structured classes: These classes cover all sections of the SAT, including reading comprehension, writing and language, and math. They focus on developing essential skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and test-taking strategies.
- Practice tests: Students take regular practice tests under timed conditions, simulating the actual SAT experience. This helps them familiarize themselves with the format, identify areas needing improvement, and build confidence for the official test.
- Individualized support: Teachers and advisors offer personal guidance and support to address individual student needs and learning styles. This can include personalized study plans, feedback on practice tests, and additional resources.

CLEP
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) offers access to 34 individual examinations that are recognized by 2,900 colleges and universities. CLEP, a registered trademark of the College Board, is administered under license by the same organization responsible for overseeing the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Each CLEP exam comprises multiple-choice questions and has a duration of 90 to 120 minutes, encompassing various academic subjects. Such as:
Ø Science and Mathematics,
Ø Composition and Literature,
Ø History and Social Science,
Ø Business, and
Ø World Languages.

The Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education acknowledges the significance of CLEP exams in creating valuable opportunities for students. To streamline the recognition of these exams, the Ministry provides an equivalency called the Palestinian SAT Tawjihi Equivalency. Palestinian individuals can sign up for the tests at any Amideast office, but they must attend in person to do so. This international recognition validates the academic achievements of students who undertake CLEP exams and opens doors to a wide range of benefits and opportunities, thereby enhancing the overall value of CLEP exams for Palestinian students.

By participating in the SAT section, MES students gain valuable knowledge, skills, and confidence, preparing them to achieve their desired scores on the standardized test and potentially increasing their chances of college acceptance.
